Panalgo is looking for a part-time Business Analyst Intern to join our growing Analytic Services team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in business and technology, strong quantitative skills, and experience in analyzing and visualizing large datasets. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across internal teams. Adaptability to fast-paced environments, ability to work under pressure while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism are crucial qualities for this role at Panalgo.
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements from stakeholders to produce metrics, KPIs, and analytics necessary for developing subsequent data models, reports, and dashboards using BI Analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, etc).
- Aid in creating and implementing standards and templates for metrics, analytics, reports, and dashboards (e.g. data dictionary; report/dashboard catalog).
- Contribute to the expanding suite of business analytic scripts written in Python.
- Coordinate and maintain project communications for analytics projects including meeting agendas, minutes, decision logs, task lists, and potential analyses.
- Collaborate closely with members of various teams to comprehend business needs.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in fields such as business, economics, health economics, data science, biostatistics, or public health.
- Skilled at translating business requirements into visualizations and dashboards, with experience in monitoring, deploying, and ensuring the adoption of said dashboards.
- Extensive understanding of data modeling and data warehousing. Able to access and combine relational and multi-dimensional databases with a variety of data sources.
- Proficiency in data analysis and organization, problem-solving, and communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with BI Analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with Python programming (including use of Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Plotly).
- Detail-oriented mindset.
Location:
Must be located in the Boston, MA area and be able to be present in the Boston office 20 hours per week.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, 20 hours a week. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
