Job description
As the Engineering Manager for Clinical Product, you will bring your technical and engineering leadership skills to ensure the continued success of our portfolio of products to meet strategic objectives of the business. This role will partner closely with multiple product teams within the organization and will lead a talented team of developers. We are looking for a communication and collaboration centric, growth minded, action-oriented Engineering Manager with a broad background in building cloud infrastructure and operating complex distributed systems by promoting system observability, metrics, and reliability.
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, you will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and support an engineering culture where innovation is balanced with predictable delivery, quality, and operational excellence.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead a complex program that is focused on building SaaS products as part of delivering great customer experience. Think and act in ways that put our customers first – own the customer experience.
- Communicate with the senior leadership team to provide input, information, and reporting as required.
- Manage resource allocation, including budget and staff.
- Manage Software Engineering staff including recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising performance.
- Focus on leadership and talent development to build a high performing team.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of microservices, operating in the cloud, cloud native design patterns and general design principles, relational and non-relational data stores and core software engineering skills
- Ensure that best practices are followed across the organization for Agile, Product, and Software Development Lifecycles.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead large scale change initiatives from both a programmatic and a people perspective
- Partner with IT leadership team members to establish an innovation framework
- Ensure that best practices are followed across the organization for Agile, Product, and Software Development LifeCycles.
- Form an active and actionable network of internal and external SMEs
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience delivering technology programs using Agile Methodologies
- 10+ years of experience with architectural patterns, building APIs, microservices, event stream processing, and high-throughput computing
- 2.5+ years of management experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS or Azure tool suites
- 5+ years of experience building cloud native architectures and architecting enterprise applications on public cloud platforms and cloud ecosystems
- Demonstrate experience with data analytics, architecture design, Azure Services and AWS
- A history of embracing and incubating emerging technology
- Able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment

- Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills, with high attention to detail
- Innovative and critical thinking skills with a passion for problem-solving
- Resourceful, action-orientated with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles
- Ability to work with senior leadership and present strategic plans/concepts in a clear and compelling manner
- Preferred qualifications: proficiency in NodeJS, React, .NET, PostGres, and/or Ruby On Rails
Location
Our corporate office is located at 1040 Stony Hill Road in Yardley, PA. This position is primarily home based. During initial onboarding, we expect a new consultant or team member to be available onsite when learning about our solutions and current projects. Additional onsite time may be needed for key meetings; not expected more than a few times per quarter.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $175,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
