Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commissions Sr. Analyst. The Commissions Analyst will play a crucial role in accurately calculating, analyzing, and processing sales commissions for our dynamic sales teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our sales incentive programs and support the growth of our organization. 
 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regular calculations of monthly performance and compensation
  • Calculate Sales Commissions:
      • Utilize commission plans and incentive structures to calculate sales commissions for individual sales representatives.
      • Apply complex commission rules and formulas to accurately determine commission payouts based on sales performance metrics.
    • Review and Validate Sales Data:
      • Validate commission calculations by reconciling sales data with commission reports and identifying any discrepancies or errors.
    • Resolve Commission Discrepancies:
      • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or discrepancies in commission calculations by collaborating with sales operations, finance, and other relevant teams.
      • Communicate with sales representatives to address any commission-related inquiries or concerns and provide timely resolution.
    • Process Commission Payments:
      • Prepare and process commission payments for sales representatives accurately and in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
      • Maintain documentation of commission payments and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide Reporting and Analysis:
      • Generate regular reports and dashboards on commission payouts, sales performance, and related metrics for management review and decision-making.
      • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to evaluate commission trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and support strategic decision-making.
    • Maintain Documentation and Compliance:
      • Maintain accurate records of commission plans, agreements, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
      • Stay updated on changes in commission plans, sales policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, HR, and IT, to support commission-related initiatives, process improvements, and system enhancements.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities to streamline commission processes, improve efficiency, and enhance accuracy in commission calculations.
      • Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to commission calculation methods, tools, and systems. 
    • And other duties as assigned.  

    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in commissions analysis, financial analysis, or related role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools; experience with commission calculation software or sales performance management systems is a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and complex commission structures.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and data analysis.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex concepts to non-financial audiences.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of sales operations, incentive compensation best practices, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
    • Certification(s) in finance or related field (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
