Job Description

As a Data Clerk, C&D Data (part-time, 2 days per week), you will be in our Chemist + Druggist team, a data driven brand established 160 years ago. This role reports directly to the C+D Product Data Specialist, member of the C+D Data team. The Data Clerk is broadly responsible for supporting the daily maintenance, quality and integrity of the C+D database, which includes the collection and input of key product data and management of activities relating to the digital and print output.
 
Chemist + Druggist works with over 1,200 manufacturers to list and maintain over 92,000 product listings including medicinal, OTC, appliances, baby and beauty products. Updated in real time by our team of data experts and mapped to a global standard, Chemist + Druggist data provides over 12,000 UK community pharmacies with data that supports the accurate identification of products in supply chain.
 
It is a fast paced and driven data team constantly looking to develop and evolve data solutions. Key to the role is having good attention to detail and the ability to manage ongoing repeat tasks relating to data maintenance, both within the team and on an individual basis. This role requires the co-ordination of data input with other members of the C+D Data team. 

This is a part-time role working 2 days per week (9-5.30), however we are happy for the hours to be split across 3 days if you prefer.

Key duties and responsibilities 

In this role as a Data Clerk, C&D Data, you will be broadly responsible for:

  • Supporting the daily maintenance of the Chemist + Druggist database, which includes the collection and input of key product data.
  • Ensure the accuracy of C+D data.
  • Proactively contact manufacturers to build relationships and ensure we hold the most accurate and recent data.
  • Update and add new data entries following all house styles and departmental procedures
  • Working with customers and stakeholders to ensure accuracy of the database.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and be resourceful and flexible.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, pro-active nature and ability to build rapport well
  • Must be competent at using Microsoft packages
  • Enthusiasm for the use of technology in the delivery of content - prepared to learn new skills and software as required.
  • Work well in a team and be willing to pitch in however needed to accomplish the goals of the organization.
  • Possess self-discipline, and demonstrate self-motivation
  • Ability to think critically, work independently and follow instructions
  • Demonstrate commitment to our mission and goals and enthusiasm in the relevant subject areas and the wider market.

Nice to have

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field or pharmacy product knowledge would be beneficial, but is not essential.
