Senior Software Engineer

SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER- NEW YORK, NY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop applications (full stack) using leading edge technologies and cloud platforms. Drive the architecture of applications and solutions. Head down development on user stories in a sprint developing features in our applications using leading edge technologies and cloud platforms. Guide the technical architecture for the applications and make recommendations on new technologies where appropriate. Perform code reviews for application code developed by other team members and providing input on best practices. Ensure all code that is checked into the repository is the highest quality utilizing third party applications like SonarCloud. Partner with business leaders to make sure that the team's user stories have quality requirements and acceptance criteria following the INVEST principles. Monitor and troubleshoot applications and make recommendations on enhancements related to application or performance issues. Guide other developers and address barriers during sprints. Deliver results in an agile environment. Work closely with Product teams to come up with technical solutions to complex problems. Lead and mentor a team of developers though the entire development lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or U.S. equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering (any) or related field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in a related IT occupation utilizing skills such as C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MS Azure, SQL Azure, Cosmos DB, VM, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, Boot Strap, Kendo UI, Visual Studio, MS Visio, GIT Extension, Bit Bucket, Dev Ops.

40 hours per week, M-F, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Salary $169,229-$180,000 per year. Applicant must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
