Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with strong business analysis skills, JIRA project management expertise, and an understanding of RWD, market access and pharmaceutical commercialization to drive the execution of our products. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and agile execution, ensuring that our products meet both customer and internal stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities
Own the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements based on stakeholder input.
Define and manage API specifications, ensuring seamless integrations and efficient data exchange.
Work closely with engineering teams to develop scalable, responsive applications with real-time analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly, reusable modules and workflows and optimize user experience for both web and mobile applications.
Leverage JIRA and other agile tools to manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reporting.
Act as a bridge between business and technology, gathering and translating business needs into actionable development tasks.
Work with UX team to define user personas and journeys, wireframes, and workflow diagrams.
Document API specifications, data flows, and system integrations in Confluence or similar tools.
Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to define data pipelines, BI dashboards, and reporting layers to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure that applications are high-performing, responsive, and accessible across devices.
Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos).
Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless user workflows.
Partner with engineering, QA, and data teams to troubleshoot issues and refine technical implementations.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding product progress and priorities.
Support go-to-market strategy and work closely with commercial teams on product adoption
Maintain a deep understanding of market access, payer data, formulary management, and patient access challenges.
Work with Real World Data (Lab, EMR, Claims, etc) to ensure products meet commercialization needs.
Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the industry and ensure compliance in product development.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Product Manager role within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading agile teams.
Proficiency in UI/UX workflows design, wireframing, and user journey mapping.
Experience defining API specifications, managing integrations, and documenting system workflows.
Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, and other agile project management tools for backlog and sprint management.
Understanding of analytics layers, including BI dashboards, and real-time data processing.
- Hands-on experience with Real World Data (RWD) assets (Lab, EMR, Open Claims) and
understanding of their use cases.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Technology, or a related field.
Experience with SQL or other data access tools to self-service data for analysis.
Knowledge of market access, payer data, and pharma commercialization strategies.
Experience working with API-first applications and microservices architectures.
Understanding of cloud-based data solutions and performance optimization techniques.
