Job Description
We are seeking a Finance Senior Manager and/or Director with extensive experience in Finance. You will collaborate on the budgeting, forecasting, and management of the shared corporate services departments and product marketing. You will also partner closely with the Accounting and HR teams on overall processes with the goal of improving efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in various systems, synthesizing and summarizing data, cross-collaboration, and improving efficiency with a big focus on headcount analysis. This role will specialize in Financial Planning & Analysis, data management, process improvement, and finance transformation.
Responsibilities
- Headcount Management & People Allocation:
- Oversee headcount planning, forecasting, and reporting for the company’s shared services functions.
- Partner with HR and department leaders to ensure headcount allocation is aligned with business needs and financial objectives.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations related to people-related costs, including salary, benefits, and bonuses.
- G&A & Cost Allocation:
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of G&A expenses across the organization.
- Ensure accurate and efficient allocation of costs across departments, aligning with business priorities and cost control initiatives.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation models that reflect the company’s business operations and structure.
- Strategic Financial Planning:
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop financial strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Lead the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets for shared services functions
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and optimize financial performance.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards for key stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances to budget.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern within shared services.
- Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support.
Cross-functional Collaboration: - Partner with department heads across Finance, HR, IT, and other functions to ensure alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.
- Drive process improvements related to financial planning, budgeting, and reporting within shared services.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, working in Finance roles, with a focus on FP&A, cost allocation and shared services management
- Strong understanding of G&A expenses, headcount management, and people allocation.
- Proven experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting in a private equity-backed environment.
- BS in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to communicate with varying levels of management, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with various teams across all functions
- Experience with establishing, maintaining, and improving processes and optimization
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling skills a big plus), SQL, and Tableau
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Solid understanding of HR systems and processes
- Excellent proficiency in Oracle (WF, Planning, FCCS)
- Ability to maintain multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively
- Team player willing to collaborate and take on new tasks
