Reporting into Technology Manager, Senior Software Engg will work with internal and external developers responsible for the development and subsequent support of the various platform services components underpinning all the customer facing applications across Norstella. As part of a large technology group, the Senior Software Engg will work with product management, architecture and other software engineering teams in support of the product development roadmap.

We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer with great communication skills, deep experience in software engineering, and most importantly, the ability and willingness to keep learning in this ever-changing technology landscape.
Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience

Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and Node.js.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating them with user-facing components.
- Familiarity with Micro Frontend (Micro UI) architecture and tools like Webpack Module Federation or Single-SPA is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools (Docker), and orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging skills to resolve application-specific bugs and real-time issues in live environments.
Pharmaceutical Domain Knowledge:
- Prior experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, including understanding of pharma-specific workflows and applications for efficient problem-solving.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Ability to work independently while addressing live application challenges.
Responsibilities:
Development and Engineering:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
- Build modular architectures, including Micro Frontends, for scalable solutions.
- Write clean, reusable code adhering to best practices, including unit testing and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements.
Application Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide support for live applications by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving real-time issues.
- Debug application-specific bugs across the stack (frontend, backend, database).
- Monitor application performance and implement fixes or optimizations as needed.
- Document solutions for recurring issues to improve system stability.
