Job Description 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Business Analyst/Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of our global platform ecosystem collaborating with Product Owners across the business. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding of open-source technologies and models, and strong stakeholder management skills. You will spearhead initiatives to deliver scalable, innovative platform solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced analysis, interpretation and validation of Platform requirements
    o    Conduct in-depth stakeholder interviews and requirement workshop sessions to produce thorough analysis and documentation of business processes, workflows and systems
    o    Translate high-level business objectives into detailed technical requirements, epics, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria to effectively communicate with Platform and Product engineering teams.
    o    Provide ongoing support and clarification to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
    o    Drive root cause analysis for platform issues, identifying long-term solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 
    o    Act as the primary interface between Platform and Product engineering teams, data scientists, UX designers, and business unit Platform stakeholders.
    o    Facilitate discussions around architecture and design choices to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and community adoption.
    o    Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful product releases.
    o    Identify risks, dependencies, and potential issues related to requirements and work proactively to mitigate them.
  •  Strategic Product Leadership
    o    In conjunction with Platform Product leadership, assist in developing and communicating the product vision and roadmap for Data and Product Platforms, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
    o    Facilitate the strategic adoption and contribution to Platform components and services to drive innovation and community engagement.
    o    Evaluate and prioritize platform features, technical debt, and new capabilities to ensure maximum business value.
  • Platform Evangelist and Advocate
    o    Drive initiatives to integrate best practices in open-source governance, security, and compliance.
    o    Stay informed of the latest open-source trends, tools, and community projects to identify opportunities for the platform.

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in product or platform development with deep understanding of writing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with open-source frameworks, platforms, and community dynamics.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex platform initiatives from ideation to delivery.
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies with experience in managing distributed teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe PO/PM.
